Raman Spectroscopy is an analytical technique used to study molecular vibrations, rotations, and low-frequency modes in materials. It involves directing a laser at a sample and examining the scattered light, which experiences frequency shifts (Raman scattering) as a result of interactions with the sample's molecular vibrations. The resulting Raman spectrum provides information about the sample's molecular structure, chemical composition, and bonding. This technique is widely used in chemical analysis, material science, biological studies, pharmaceuticals, and environmental analysis. It is especially useful for identifying chemical structures, studying materials such as carbon nanotubes and polymers, and analyzing biological samples.
